If you follow this blog you will see that I have written lots and lots about Gopro Cameras and where to get a deal on yours with available Gopro coupons.  I would first like to comment that I was a little disappointed with the Gopro Hero 2 camera.  Not because it’s not a good camera, but because they used it to replace and quickly phase out the original Gopro HD Hero which was a cheaper alternative.  I find most of the highly touted options like a 11mp sensor and .5  Sec Time Lapse Mode are rarely used and would rather save $50-$100 for a Gopro the shoots same quality HD Video.  FYI some vendors still have original gopro available at Original Gopro HD Hero Deals. 

How does the Gopro compare to the Contour Cameras?? Contour Cameras are good cameras that also shoot excellent quality and are comparable in price.  My honest opinion is that both are pretty equal.  I think Gopro is more popular because of branding.  I do find the Gopro has more mounting options, but the Contour does have a GPS model that is pretty cool, especially for jumpers that want a wearable camera, because it will track altitude and speed. How does the Gopro compare to Drift Innovation?  The Drift Innovation has just been redone.  I have never used one but if your not familiar with the Drift it does offer a ton of features.  Sample videos I’ve seen are excellent.  It has a built in LCD, rotatable lens. 9mp sensor, comes with remote, mirco HDMI, digital zoom and microphone jack.  This unit goes for a little more at $369 but it does have a ton of features.  I found the mounting options are the best for on the body, but if your doing something like biking you may want to take a look at this unit.  The best deal I can find is $249 at Drift Innovations Coupons.  This is a two day sale so you will have to decide quickly.

There are a few great Gopro HD Hero2 coupons for the holidays.  I spent sometime looking at all the coupons at Gopro Coupons.  The best one is the MountainPlus Gopro Coupon, where you get a free shipping and free 16GB SD Card.  The reason is that some of the other deals listed are indicating no guarantee delivery for Christmas.  For example RazorReef has the best deal but they are indicating no guarantees for christmas shipping.  This means that you are probably looking into first couple of weeks of January for delivery.  If it’s not a Christmas gift I would order from them, but if you want it before the holidays go with the Free 16SD card deal.  You can get both coupons at Gopro Coupon Codes.
