June 16th, 2009Computers, Entertainment, Music, UncategorizedShould you rent music or purchase your digital music? I do both, but if you look at the numbers renting may be a better alternative. Lets say you have 400 favorite songs that you want. By purchasing your music you through a service like iTunes you would have to shell out around $400. A realnetworks superpass membership cost you $12.99 a month, giving you two and half years before reaching $400. In those two and a half years you get to not only listen to your 400 favorite songs, you also get to listen to millions of other songs. The realnetworks superpass also offer 10 free song downloads a month. That means in two and half years later, I will have 300 songs that I own. Short a 100 of my list of 400 favorites, but that’s the trade off to the millions of songs I had access too for two and half years. As a bonus Real Rhapsody Superpass gives me free arcade games each month, ad-free and international radio stations. I’ll let you decide, but you can get a free 14 day trial Real Superpass while making your decision.
