I just had to order a new set of winter tires from Tire Rack.  My old set of winters lasted 4 years.  If your looking for winter tires Tire Rack has some great deals.  If they don’t have what your looking for or you think you can find a better deal I would still use Tire Rack for comparison.  There website is perfect for finding the tires that fit your car using their easy comparison interface.  All you have to do it put in your year, make and model.  I think that for certain northern states that winter tires should be mandatory.  I know in a few provinces in Canada that it is mandated by Law.  All season do not do the same job as dedicated winter tires.  Winter tires are made differently and have a snowflake logo on them indicating that they are winter tires.  The rubber on winter tires do not freeze up like regular tire rubber and provide more traction and way shorting stopping distances.  This is a scientific and proven fact!!!  All seasons should be called Three seasons.  Although its a little bit of pain in the butt to go have them switched its worth it.  A set of winter will last you 3-4 years, so the cost works out to be small for the safety that you get.  Put a set of winter tires on if you live where there is snow.
