Medjet Assist is a medical membership that provide medical evacuation services from anywhere in the world, including domestic medical evacuation to a hospital of your choice.  Mejet Assist is not classified as insurance although to me its travel insurance.  The membership is cheap and its yearly.  Cost for Medjet is only $235/yr, a family membership is $365 or you can get an individual membership for $95.  This is how it works.  First off there is no medical necessity clause!!  If you end up in the hospital for whatever reason, regardless of your injury or illness, Medjet will fly you home or to the hospital of your choice.  The only catch is it needs to be 150 miles or more away from your home.  This makes it attractive for domestic travelers as well, and the no  pre-existing condition exclusions makes it worth it for a lot of travellers.  Pricing is for a year so Medjet Assist is super affordable for peace of mind.
