Medjet offers medical evacuation insurance and it cost less then $20 bucks a month.  An individual can get Medjet Insurance for only $235/yr or $175/yr for domestic(withing USA) insurance.  A medjet family membership is only $365.  Medjet insurance is simple, if you are hospitalized more then 150 miles from your home, they will pay for you to fly to your local hospital or any hospital of your choice.  The cost of domestic air medical evacuation starts arount 10,000 and up, while international medical evacuation back to the USA starts will run you around 75,000.  It may seem unlikely but it unfortunately happens more often then you think.  The best thing I found about this medical insurance or medical membership as referred to on the Medjet website, is that there is no medical necessary for the membership.  I highly recommend medjet  for elderly travellers and travellers with children.
