Water Ionizers appear to be growing in popularity.  I have been reading about them for some time, and the claim is that it will provide healthy alkaline water.  The alkaline water that a water ionizer produces helps balance the PH in your body.  Studies have shown that high intake of alkaline water will help you increase your energy and fight disease.  Some even state the possibility of reverse aging properties.  In my opinion I think the jury is out on some of these potential claims, especially the reverse aging properties.  The concept of PH balance in your body is a concept that I can understand and agree.  I don’t know to what degree alkaline water would help, but I’m pretty sure it won’t hurt you.   Now the questions is where does that leave you in regards to purchasing a water ionizer.  Well if you take out the water Ionizing part, they are excellent water filters.  I have spent comparable money on water filters in the past, especially if you are looking into a reverse osmosis water system.  Like a lot of people I try to use one of those aluminum water bottles, to reduce the plastic bottle waste in our landfills.  The leeching of the plastic water bottles is a concern for me as well. 

Water Ionizers range widely in price and could cost you a few thousand bucks.  The ones I looked at that cost a couple thousand offer 10 year warranties, so you know you are going to have a top notch water filter that provides safe, chemical free water for many years.  The cost per glass of water is way cheaper then any other filter including the popular Brita.  Brita is actually quite expensive, because the outlay of cash for the filters is relatively small at one time.  In addition a water ionizer provides water on demand, so the convenience factor is a plus.  On a side note many of the units allow you to adjust PH of the water output, so if you happen to be into fish keeping, you can get the right water PH for your aquatic environment.  Ionizer Oasis has a large selection of water Ionizer and lots of information to help you make a decision on a water ionizer.
